Born at UC Berkeley, the project aims to build a decentralized network that leverages community power to deliver high-quality content like 4K and 8K globally while slashing costs for providers.

With the slogan "Content Delivery, Powered By You!", Blockcast is not just a technology but an ecosystem where anyone can participate and profit.

The Internet’s Challenges Today

The internet faces a critical issue: skyrocketing bandwidth demand. Statistics show 80% of internet traffic comes from video streaming, from Netflix to live sports. However, the traditional unicast model—where each viewer gets a separate data stream—wastes significant bandwidth.

For instance, when 1 million people watch a World Cup final, the system sends 1 million identical streams, clogging networks. In rural areas, weak infrastructure makes streaming 4K nearly impossible.

Blockcast steps in to solve this, using multicast technology to send one data stream to multiple users, saving bandwidth and reducing costs.

How Blockcast Works

Blockcast builds a content delivery network based on three key pillars:

1. Multicast Adaptive HTTP Proxy (MAHP)

MAHP is the heart of Blockcast, enabling deployment on devices from data centers to home smart TVs. This technology delivers content efficiently by sending a single stream to multiple users, replacing millions of individual streams.

2. Blockbox: Everyone Can Join

Blockbox is software or a caching device that lets you become a node in the Blockcast network. By participating, you can:

Store content locally (e.g., videos, game updates).

Share content with your neighborhood or community.

Earn Blockcash—a Web3 token—as a reward.

For example, install a Blockbox at home, cache a World Cup match, and share it with your neighborhood for smooth 4K streaming while earning income.

3. Open Capacity Marketplace (OCM)

Launching in April 2025, OCM is an open marketplace where content providers (e.g., Netflix, gaming studios) can buy bandwidth from:

Internet service providers (ISPs).

Broadcasters using ATSC 3.0, 5G, or satellite.

Individual nodes running Blockbox.

OCM uses the Open Caching standard, ensuring transparency and compatibility with existing CDN systems.

Benefits of Blockcast

Blockcast delivers value to all stakeholders:

Content Providers: Slash delivery costs by 80-90%, enabling 4K/8K content without price hikes.

ISPs and Broadcasters: Monetize unused bandwidth for new revenue without heavy investments.

Individual Users: Enjoy better streaming, especially in rural areas, with faster speeds and stable quality. Node operators also earn tokens.

Global Community: Bridges the digital divide, bringing high-quality content to every corner of the world.

Achievements and Future Plans

Blockcast has made significant strides:

Funding: Secured $2.85 million from Lattice Fund and Protocol Labs in 2024.

Proven Roots: Evolved from the Magma project, acquired by Facebook and used in Helium 5G.

Industry Collaboration: Member of the Streaming Video Technology Alliance (SVTA), contributing to Open Caching standards.

Future Roadmap:

January 2025: Phased rollout of RELAY nodes.

April 2025: Launch of the Open Capacity Marketplace at NAB Las Vegas.

Continued expansion of the node network and partnerships with global ISPs and broadcasters.

What Makes Blockcast Special?

Cutting-Edge Technology: Multicast saves bandwidth, outperforming traditional unicast.

Community-Driven Model: Open to individuals and businesses, fostering a decentralized network.

Seamless Integration: Supports industry standards for compatibility with existing CDNs.

Big Vision: Connects the world, delivering high-quality content everywhere.

Challenges Ahead

Despite its potential, Blockcast faces challenges:

Fierce Competition: Giants like Akamai and Cloudflare dominate the CDN market.

Network Scale: Needs enough nodes to ensure efficiency.

Security: Managing individual nodes requires robust data protection mechanisms.

Technology Adoption: Convincing ISPs and content providers to adopt multicast technology.

Conclusion

Blockcast is more than a CDN—it’s a revolution in how content is delivered online. By leveraging multicast technology and community power, it reduces costs and enhances user experiences worldwide. With a clear roadmap and backing from reputable investors, Blockcast is poised to be a game-changer in the streaming industry.

Join the Blockcast network, become a node, and help build the future of the internet!

Learn more at: Blockcast Network

Analysis of Nockchain: A ZK-Proof-of-Work Blockchain

Introduction to Nockchain

In the fast-evolving world of blockchain, Nockchain emerges as a unique project aiming to revolutionize decentralized computing. Founded in 2023 in Berlin, Germany, Nockchain is a high-throughput blockchain leveraging a Zero-Knowledge Virtual Machine (ZKVM) and a novel ZK-Proof-of-Work (ZKPoW) consensus mechanism. With its native token, $NOCK, and a promise of a fair launch, Nockchain has sparked interest in the Web3 community. However, controversies at its mainnet launch have raised questions. This article explores Nockchain’s technology, strengths, challenges, opportunities, and how to get involved, offering a concise overview of its potential.

Core Technology

ZK-Proof-of-Work (ZKPoW)

Nockchain’s ZKPoW consensus sets it apart from traditional Proof-of-Work blockchains like Bitcoin. Instead of solving hash puzzles, miners generate zero-knowledge proofs (ZKPs) for specific computations, hash them, and earn $NOCK tokens based on their computational power. This “useful work” approach aligns with applications needing trustless, verifiable computation, such as decentralized finance (DeFi) or secure data processing. ZKPoW ensures network security while supporting privacy-focused use cases, making Nockchain a promising platform for complex Web3 applications.

Zero-Knowledge Virtual Machine (ZKVM)

The ZKVM, built on the minimalist Nock programming language, is optimized for ZKP creation and verification. Its combinator-based design enables efficient computation and storage proofs, ideal for scalable decentralized applications (dApps). Nockchain uses a 255-bit Cheetah curve, STARK-friendly, to speed up Schnorr signature verification within ZKPs while staying compatible with standard wallet tools. This balance of performance and accessibility makes the ZKVM a key strength for developers building privacy-centric dApps.

Tokenomics and Fair Launch

Nockchain’s $NOCK token has a fixed supply of 2³² (around 4.29 billion tokens), with 100% distributed to miners, avoiding pre-mines or investor allocations. This fair launch model aligns with decentralization principles. However, the mainnet launch on May 21, 2025, drew criticism when the core team, Zorp, used an optimized mining algorithm, giving them an early advantage. This sparked accusations of undermining the fair launch, damaging community trust and highlighting the need for greater transparency.

Strengths

Innovative Technology

Nockchain’s ZKPoW and ZKVM make it a pioneer in verifiable computation. By aiming to reduce ZKP costs to near zero, it opens doors for privacy-focused applications like secure voting or verifiable AI. This positions Nockchain as a leader in the growing zero-knowledge market.

Open-Source and Community-Driven

Licensed under MIT, Nockchain’s codebase is open on GitHub, encouraging community contributions. Active channels like the technical forum (forum.nockchain.org) and Telegram (t.me/nockchainproject) foster collaboration, helping developers and users shape the project’s future.

Scalability for Heavy Compute

Nockchain is a “lightweight blockchain for heavyweight compute,” designed for applications requiring significant computational power, such as decentralized AI or data storage. Its high-throughput design makes it suitable for enterprise-grade Web3 solutions.

Challenges

Launch Controversy

The mainnet launch controversy, where Zorp’s optimized mining algorithm dominated early blocks, has been a major setback. Community backlash, as seen on platforms like urbitguide.com, underscores the need for Nockchain to rebuild trust through transparency and fairer mining practices.

Technical Barriers

Mining $NOCK requires powerful hardware, limiting participation to technically savvy users with robust setups. The lack of a graphical interface or official mining pools further restricts accessibility, potentially slowing adoption among non-technical users.

Early-Stage Risks

As an experimental project, Nockchain’s unaudited components pose risks of bugs or security issues. The team’s disclaimer about no performance guarantees may deter cautious users or enterprises, requiring robust audits to build confidence.

Competitive Market

Nockchain faces 81 competitors, including StarkWare and Matter Labs, in the zero-knowledge space. Differentiating itself through unique features or superior performance will be critical to gaining market share.

Opportunities

Rising ZK Demand

The growing need for zero-knowledge solutions in DeFi, privacy, and AI offers Nockchain a chance to shine. Its focus on cost-efficient ZKPs could attract developers building next-generation dApps.

Community Rebuilding

By addressing the launch controversy with transparent actions, such as supporting mining pools or user-friendly tools, Nockchain can regain community trust and broaden its user base.

Developer Ecosystem

Nockchain’s open-source nature and active community channels provide a foundation for a strong developer ecosystem. Encouraging dApp development in areas like verifiable AI or decentralized storage could drive adoption.

How to Participate

Mining $NOCK

To mine $NOCK, users need a powerful computer and must follow these steps:

Install Dependencies: Set up Rust and required tools per Nockchain’s GitHub instructions.

Configure Node: Clone the .env file and generate a public/private key pair for mining.

Run Node: Use CLI commands to start mining, connecting to peers listed on Telegram or the forum.

Solo mining is resource-intensive, so users with limited hardware should monitor for community-driven mining pools.

Using the Nockchain Wallet

The Nockchain wallet, compatible with SLIP-10, offers a familiar experience for managing $NOCK tokens. Users can set up keys and track transactions via CLI or the Nockscan block explorer, with setup details on GitHub.

Conclusion

Nockchain is an ambitious blockchain with groundbreaking technology in ZKPoW and ZKVM, poised to lead in privacy and verifiable computation. However, the mainnet launch controversy has dented its reputation, emphasizing the need for transparency and accessibility. With a competitive market and technical challenges ahead, Nockchain must rebuild trust and differentiate itself to succeed. For those interested, prepare for a technical setup and stay engaged with the community for updates. As the zero-knowledge space grows, Nockchain remains a project to watch, with the potential to shape Web3’s future if it can overcome its hurdles.

Monad: The Future of Layer 1 Blockchain with Unparalleled Performance

As the blockchain industry continues to evolve, Monad emerges as a promising Layer 1 (L1) blockchain, delivering exceptional performance and scalability. Since 2014, DeFi protocols have lost nearly $80 billion to exploits, highlighting the urgent need for robust security solutions. Enter Drosera Network, a decentralized security protocol built on Ethereum that aims to safeguard DeFi ecosystems through automated threat detection and response. In this article, we’ll dive deep into what Drosera Network is, why it matters, and provide a step-by-step guide to running a Drosera Operator Node on its testnet.

What is Drosera Network?

Drosera Network is a groundbreaking protocol designed to protect DeFi applications by automating the detection and mitigation of exploits. Built as an Actively Validated Service (AVS) on EigenLayer, Drosera leverages Ethereum’s consensus mechanisms and restaking to create a decentralized, developer-friendly security infrastructure. Its mission is to establish the world’s first Decentralized Automated Responder Collective (DARC), enabling smart contracts to analyze on-chain data and respond to threats in real time.

Key Features

Traps: Smart contracts that collect and analyze on-chain data. Each Trap has two core functions:

collect
: Gathers historical blockchain data into a structured format.

isValid
(or
shouldRespond
): Evaluates the data and returns
true
if an anomaly is detected, triggering a response.

Operators: Decentralized nodes that execute Trap logic on every Ethereum block and perform on-chain responses when triggered. Anyone can run an operator node without being an Ethereum validator.

Response Contracts: Predefined contracts that execute emergency actions, such as pausing a protocol or liquidating assets, when a Trap is activated.

EigenLayer Integration: Drosera uses EigenLayer’s restaking mechanism to enhance economic security, allowing staked ETH to secure both Ethereum and Drosera’s services.

Why Drosera Matters

DeFi’s growth has been hampered by costly and complex security systems. Traditional monitoring solutions are centralized, expensive, and prone to censorship. However, giants like Cloudflare and Akamai, while powerful, remain constrained by their traditional centralized models. Enter Pipe Network—a decentralized CDN built on the Solana blockchain—emerging as a fresh contender promising to revolutionize how we approach content distribution. Notably, its current Node DevNet 2 program offers a golden opportunity for early adopters to engage, test the technology, and earn potential rewards. Let’s dive deep into Pipe Network and explore what you need to know to seize this opportunity.

What Is Pipe Network?

Pipe Network is a decentralized content delivery network (CDN) built on Solana, one of the fastest and most efficient blockchains today. Unlike traditional CDNs that rely on centralized servers operated by a single entity, Pipe Network leverages community power to create a “permissionless” ecosystem. Anyone can join by running nodes to contribute to the network, earning rewards based on their performance and participation.

The core mission of Pipe Network is to optimize content delivery speed by positioning Points of Presence (PoP) nodes close to end users, establishing a “hyper-localized” network. This approach not only reduces latency but also enhances content delivery capabilities, particularly for high-performance applications like video streaming, online gaming, and real-time data transfers. Powered by Solana—known for its ability to process thousands of transactions per second (TPS) at minimal cost—Pipe Network holds significant competitive potential.

Beyond technological improvement, the project aims to build a sustainable ecosystem. Participants who operate nodes earn points, which are expected to convert into tokens following a Token Generation Event (TGE) in the future. This is a clever strategy to incentivize early community involvement while fostering network growth.

The Technology Behind Pipe Network

Pipe Network operates on a system of community-run PoP nodes. These nodes serve as storage and distribution points for content, replacing the centralized servers of traditional CDNs. Instead of relying on a single provider, Pipe Network distributes traffic across thousands of global nodes, leveraging decentralization to optimize performance.

Solana Blockchain: Pipe Network uses Solana to record and manage node activities, from content delivery to reward calculations. With its superior transaction speed and near-zero fees, Solana is an ideal backbone for a project requiring real-time, large-scale data processing.

Hyper-Localized CDN: By placing PoP nodes near end users, Pipe Network minimizes physical distance between content and consumers, delivering significantly faster load times.

Permissionless Design: Unlike traditional CDNs that require contracts or approvals, anyone with suitable hardware can join Pipe Network without permission.

The Node DevNet 2 Program: A Chance to Get Involved Early

Pipe Network is currently running its DevNet 2 phase—an alpha testnet designed to test the technology in real-world conditions before transitioning to Testnet and eventually Mainnet. This phase presents an excellent opportunity for tech enthusiasts and crypto investors to join early, experience the system, and accumulate points that could convert into tokens later. Let’s break down the details of this program.

What Is DevNet 2?

DevNet 2 is Pipe Network’s second testing phase, launched on February 18, 2025, and set to run for at least 40 days if the network remains stable. As of March 18, 2025, the program has been active for about 28 days. If no major issues arise, the network could transition to Testnet by late March or early April 2025. This phase is a crucial stepping stone to evaluate the performance of Cache Nodes—high-performance storage services responsible for distributing content across the network.

The goals of DevNet 2 include:

Ensuring system stability in real-world scenarios.

Collecting data to optimize the network before scaling up.

Encouraging community participation in running nodes and providing feedback.

Requirements to Join DevNet 2

To run a Cache Node in DevNet 2, you’ll need to meet some basic technical requirements:

Minimum Hardware:

Free disk space: At least 100GB, with 200-500GB recommended for optimal performance.

RAM: Minimum 4GB, though 8GB or 12GB is advised for better processing.

Setup Instructions:

Download the PoP binary from the official link:
curl -L -o pop "https://dl.pipecdn.app/v0.2.8/pop"
.

Grant execution permissions:
chmod +x pop
.

Create a cache storage directory:
mkdir download_cache
.

Register using a referral code:
./pop --signup-by-referral-route <referral code>
(you can obtain a code from other users or the Pipe Network community).

Run the node:
sudo ./pop --ram 8 --max-disk 500 --cache-dir /path/to/cache
.

Technical Notes:

Ports 80 and 443 require root privileges to operate, or you’ll need to configure systemd to run without admin rights.

Upon registration, a
node_info.json
file is generated. This file is critical as it ties your node to its IP address—back it up carefully, as it cannot be recovered if lost.

Reward Mechanism in DevNet 2

Joining DevNet 2 isn’t just about testing technology—it’s also a chance to earn points that could lead to future rewards:

Points and Reputation: Points are awarded based on node uptime, data served, and latency. High-scoring nodes will receive priority traffic distribution in Testnet, boosting their reward potential later.

Referral Program: Generate a referral code with
./pop --gen-referral-route
and share it. Each successful signup through your code earns you bonus points, provided your node maintains good reputation.

Progress Tracking: Use the dashboard at https://dashboard.pipenetwork.com/node-lookup to monitor your node’s status and points.

Current Progress

As of March 18, 2025, DevNet 2 has been running for nearly a month and appears to be progressing well. If stability holds for another 12 days (until around March 30, 2025), Pipe Network could officially move to Testnet, expanding its scope and bringing it closer to Mainnet. Now is an ideal time to join if you want to be part of the early community.

Strengths and Challenges of Pipe Network

Strengths

Technological Potential: Combining CDN with Solana’s blockchain offers advantages in speed, cost, and decentralization—a major leap from traditional models.

Open Community: The “permissionless” philosophy allows anyone to join, fostering a diverse and resilient ecosystem.

Real-World Applications: Pipe Network targets high-demand sectors like video streaming, gaming, and large-scale data transfers—industries booming in the digital age.

Challenges

Fierce Competition: Pipe Network must compete with established players like Cloudflare and Akamai, which dominate the market.

Transparency: Details about the team, roadmap, and tokenomics remain limited, raising doubts about long-term viability.

Testing Risks: As an alpha phase, DevNet 2 may encounter technical glitches or performance issues that haven’t been anticipated.

Why Should You Care About Pipe Network?

Pipe Network is more than just a tech project—it’s an opportunity to invest in and join an emerging trend: the fusion of blockchain and internet infrastructure. If you’re a crypto enthusiast, running a node in DevNet 2 offers dual benefits:

Earning Rewards: Points from DevNet 2 will directly influence your token rewards in the future.

Tech Experience: You’ll gain hands-on exposure to a cutting-edge decentralized CDN, deepening your understanding of blockchain and network infrastructure.

That said, as with any blockchain project, risks are involved. With a mission to make AI more reliable, transparent, and accessible, Mira Network is leveraging decentralized infrastructure to solve one of the biggest challenges in the AI world: trust. In this deep dive, we’ll explore what Mira Network is, how it works, its ecosystem, potential, risks, and how you can get involved. Buckle up—this is going to be an exciting ride into the future of AI-powered blockchain solutions.

What Is Mira Network?

Mira Network is a decentralized infrastructure platform designed to enhance the trustworthiness and accuracy of AI outputs. At its core, it tackles a persistent issue in the AI landscape: the lack of consistency and verifiability in results generated by large language models (LLMs) and other AI systems. While modern AI models like GPT or LLaMA are incredibly powerful, their accuracy hovers around 70% on average, leaving room for errors that can be costly in critical applications like finance, healthcare, or legal analysis.

Mira’s solution? A blockchain-based system that verifies every step of an AI’s decision-making process in a trustless, transparent manner. By combining Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks (DePIN) with cutting-edge AI verification, Mira Network aims to push AI accuracy to 90% or higher, making it a game-changer for industries that demand precision.

Backed by a $9 million investment from heavyweights like Framework Ventures, Mira Network isn’t just another crypto project—it’s a bold step toward bridging the gap between AI’s potential and its real-world reliability. But how does it actually work? Let’s break it down.

The Tech Behind Mira Network

At the heart of Mira Network is its decentralized architecture, which leverages globally distributed GPUs (graphics processing units) to power its operations. Unlike traditional AI systems that rely on centralized data centers—expensive and prone to bottlenecks—Mira taps into a network of computing resources provided by partners and contributors worldwide. This DePIN approach reduces costs, increases scalability, and democratizes access to high-performance computing.

Here’s how it functions in simple terms:

AI Output Verification: When an AI model processes data or generates a response, Mira records each computational step on its blockchain. This creates an immutable audit trail, allowing anyone to verify the output’s accuracy without needing to trust a central authority.

Distributed Computing: Through partnerships with projects like io.net, Hyperbolic, Aethir, Spheron, and Exabits, Mira harnesses idle GPU power from a global network. This not only speeds up processing but also ensures redundancy and resilience.

Transparency and Trust: By making the AI’s “thought process” publicly verifiable, Mira eliminates the black-box problem that plagues many AI systems today.

Think of it like a referee in a sports game—except this referee is a decentralized network ensuring every play is fair and accurate. The result? AI outputs you can trust, whether you’re using them to analyze financial data, diagnose a patient, or draft a legal contract.

Klok App: Mira’s First Big Move

No discussion of Mira Network would be complete without mentioning Klok App, its flagship product that’s already making waves. Launched just two weeks ago (as of early March 2025), Klok is a multi-LLM chat application that lets users interact with top-tier AI models like LLaMA, GPT, and DeepSeek—all while earning rewards.

Here’s what makes Klok stand out:

User Growth: In just 14 days, Klok has attracted over 500,000 users, a testament to its appeal and the power of community-driven adoption.

Gamified Incentives: Users earn 10 Mira Points daily for chatting with the AI and 100 points for each successful referral. Stork Network, an emerging decentralized oracle project, is gaining attention for its commitment to delivering real-time data with ultra-low latency. In this article, we will provide an in-depth analysis of Stork Network—from its technology, features, growth potential, to the challenges it may face.

1. What Is Stork Network?

Stork Network is a decentralized oracle protocol designed to provide reliable, fast, and cryptographically verifiable data for both on-chain and off-chain applications. Unlike many traditional oracles like Chainlink or Pyth Network, Stork focuses on minimizing data latency to the lowest possible level, typically under 500ms or when prices change by 0.1%, whichever occurs first. This is a key advantage, especially for DeFi applications requiring instant responses, such as trading on decentralized exchanges (DEXs), lending, or derivatives.

Stork’s core goal is to build a "Open Data Market" that is decentralized, where developers, protocols, and data providers can participate, share, and consume data flexibly. The project currently supports over 350 assets across more than 50 blockchains, including EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine), Solana, Sui, Aptos, and many others, with the ability to easily expand to new chains.

2. Technology and Architecture of Stork Network

Stork Network operates on a three-layer architecture, ensuring performance, decentralization, and transparency:

a. Publishers (Data Providers)

These are data providers, which can be individuals, organizations, or financial platforms, using the Stork Publisher Agent (open-source, deployable via Docker) to send cryptographically signed data via ultra-fast websockets.

Anyone can become a Publisher, enhancing decentralization and expanding the data sources.

b. Aggregators (Data Aggregators)

Aggregators receive data from Publishers, aggregate information using functions like median, average, or weighted average, then re-sign and send it to Subscribers.

Currently, Aggregators are operated by Stork Labs, but the project plans to fully decentralize them in the future, using redundant sets to ensure reliability.

c. Subscribers (Data Consumers)

Subscribers are applications or smart contracts that use data from Aggregators. They can access data via websockets, REST API (off-chain), or bring data on-chain via Stork contracts.

Stork’s on-chain contracts are responsible for storing, verifying, and providing the latest data, ensuring a "trustless" (no need for intermediaries) system.

Stork leverages websocket technology to achieve sub-second latency, sometimes as low as a few milliseconds, far surpassing many other oracles like Chainlink (which typically updates data every few seconds). This makes Stork ideal for applications requiring instant responses, such as trading digital assets or risk management in DeFi.

3. Key Products of Stork

Stork Network offers a range of products and services to meet diverse user needs:

a. Stork for Real Time

Real-time price feeds with ultra-low latency, suitable for DeFi applications like DEXs, lending, and derivatives.

Data is continuously updated to ensure accuracy and speed.

b. Stork for Options

A specialized oracle service for derivatives (options, futures), providing data via REST API to support complex financial protocols.

c. Composite Oracle Service (COS)

A customizable service allowing users to create data aggregators tailored to specific needs, increasing flexibility and expanding use cases.

4. Strengths of Stork Network

a. High Performance

Data latency under 500ms is a significant advantage over other oracles, making Stork highly competitive in DeFi, where speed is critical.

Using ultra-fast websockets, Stork achieves performance comparable to traditional financial trading systems (TradFi).

b. Decentralization and Transparency

A decentralized network of Publishers allows anyone to participate, reducing reliance on centralized data providers.

Data is cryptographically signed and verifiable, ensuring a "trustless" and secure system.

c. Flexibility and Scalability

Support for multiple chains (over 50 blockchains) and multiple assets (over 350 assets), along with customization via COS, enables Stork to adapt to various use cases.

The project plans to expand beyond DeFi into areas like DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks) and IoT, unlocking long-term potential.

d. Community and Investment Support

Stork has successfully raised $4 million from major investment funds like Faction, Wintermute, CMS, and other organizations, demonstrating trust from the Web3 community.

Active community engagement on X and Discord (such as opening channels like
#peep-contributions
,
#peep-memes
,
#real-eggs
) is attracting new users and boosting interaction.

5. Challenges and Risks

Despite its strengths, Stork Network faces several challenges:

a. Fierce Competition

Stork must compete with established oracles like Chainlink, Pyth Network, and Band Protocol, which already have strong communities, ecosystems, and credibility.

For example, Chainlink has a vast data network and partnerships with major projects, while Pyth focuses on high-quality financial data.

b. Incomplete Decentralization

Currently, Aggregators are operated by Stork Labs and are not fully decentralized. This raises concerns about transparency and the risk of centralized control.

The project needs to accelerate its decentralization plans to build long-term trust.

c. Costs and On-Chain Performance

Bringing data on-chain requires gas fees, which could become a barrier if update frequency is high or if blockchain networks are congested.

Stork needs to optimize to reduce costs and maintain consistent performance.

d. Security Risks

Although data is cryptographically signed, the system remains vulnerable to attacks if malicious Publishers exist or if there are flaws in the data aggregation mechanism.

Stork must invest heavily in security audits and develop fraud detection mechanisms.

6. Growth Potential

Stork Network has significant potential to become a leading oracle protocol due to the following factors:

a. Growing DeFi Market

DeFi continues to be one of the fastest-growing sectors in Web3, with increasing demand for real-time data for applications like DEXs, lending, and derivatives.

Stork’s low latency is a major competitive edge, especially for protocols requiring instant responses to prevent asset losses or liquidation risks.

b. Expansion into DePIN and Other Fields

Stork is positioned as a DePIN project, with the capability to provide data for decentralized physical infrastructures, such as IoT, sensors, or weather data.

If successful, Stork could expand into multiple industries beyond finance, creating a comprehensive data ecosystem.

c. Community Strategy

Activities like opening community channels (#peep-contributions, #peep-memes, #real-eggs) and the "stacking EGGs" system (accumulating "eggs," possibly a token or reward) show Stork is building a vibrant, enthusiastic community.

Encouraging user participation in creative activities (memes, egg photos) and contributions is an effective strategy to boost engagement and attract new users.

d. Reward System

While the full tokenomics of Stork have not been fully disclosed, "EGGs" (eggs) could be a token or reward within the ecosystem, tied to accumulation and roles like "@Winged."

If implemented well, this system could provide strong incentives for users and developers.

7. Evaluation and Recommendations

Stork Network is a promising project in the oracle space, thanks to its advanced technology, superior speed, and creative community strategy. However, to achieve long-term success, the project needs to:

Fully Decentralize: Enhance the decentralization of Aggregators to build trust and reduce centralization risks.

Compete with Major Rivals: Invest in marketing, partner with major DeFi protocols, and demonstrate superior value compared to Chainlink, Pyth, and others.

Optimize Costs: Minimize gas fees and improve on-chain performance to remain competitive.

Build an Ecosystem: Expand into DePIN, IoT, and other fields to diversify applications.

If you’re considering investing in or partnering with Stork, now is a good time to monitor the project, join the community, and test products like Stork for Real Time or COS. With a strong team, $4 million in funding, and a clear development strategy, Stork has the potential to become a standout name in the oracle and Web3 space.

8. Conclusion

Stork Network is not just another oracle protocol—it represents a new advancement in delivering real-time, decentralized, and flexible data. With its low latency, open architecture, and creative community strategy, Stork is laying the foundation to compete strongly in DeFi and expand into other fields. However, the project must overcome challenges related to competition, decentralization, and costs to truly establish its position.

Follow Stork on X (@StorkOracle), Discord, and its official website (https://docs.stork.network/) for the latest updates. Traditional on-chain storage systems are often hampered by inefficiencies, high replication costs, and scalability issues. Addressing these concerns, Walrus has been developed as a robust decentralized storage solution, leveraging the innovative capabilities of the Sui blockchain network. Here, we dive into the revolutionary features of Walrus and its potential impact on the decentralized storage ecosystem.

The Challenges of Replication and Storage Costs

Most blockchain systems rely on full replication of data across all validators, leading to massive redundancy and high operational costs. For example, the Sui network’s current storage model replicates data with a factor of 100x or more to ensure security and fault tolerance. While this approach is necessary for computational integrity, it is highly inefficient for storing unstructured data such as media files, NFTs, or historical blockchain snapshots.

Walrus tackles this inefficiency head-on by introducing a decentralized storage architecture optimized for scalability, affordability, and reliability.

What is Walrus?

Walrus is a decentralized storage network that provides exceptional data availability with minimal replication. It is designed to store large data volumes efficiently while ensuring high availability and resilience against faults.

Key Features of Walrus

Cost-Effective Blob Storage: Walrus allows gigabyte-scale uploads at a fraction of traditional costs. By transmitting data blobs only once and distributing storage across network nodes, Walrus minimizes resource usage while maintaining data integrity.

High Availability and Robustness: Walrus’ storage model ensures data recovery even if two-thirds of nodes fail. This reliability is bolstered by certificates that guarantee availability without requiring users to download entire blobs.

Dynamic Scalability: Powered by the Sui blockchain, Walrus scales horizontally to hundreds or thousands of storage nodes. This enables the system to offer petabytes of storage at competitive costs compared to centralized providers.

Support for Multiple Use Cases:

NFT Media Storage: Directly store and serve images, sounds, and videos.

AI-Related Applications: Store clean datasets or model proofs with verified provenance.

Long-Term Blockchain Archival: Efficiently archive blockchain history, including snapshots and state transitions.

How Walrus Works

Walrus employs innovative encoding techniques to break data into smaller units called slivers. These slivers are distributed across storage nodes to achieve redundancy and fault tolerance. The system uses advanced erasure coding, allowing blobs to be reconstructed from a subset of slivers. This reduces storage overhead while maintaining data integrity.

Additionally, storage operations on Walrus are managed through epochs. Users can specify how many epochs their data should remain available. As epochs progress, Walrus ensures that data is dynamically managed, re-certified, or deleted based on user requirements.

Integration with the Sui Network

Walrus is tightly integrated with the Sui blockchain, leveraging its advanced features for secure and transparent operations. All blob metadata, storage transactions, and certifications are recorded on-chain, ensuring accountability and verifiability.

Sui’s scalability and low-latency capabilities enable Walrus to handle high transaction volumes without compromising performance. Moreover, Walrus introduces a utility token, WAL, for payments and incentives, with smaller units called FROST for granular cost calculations.

User-Friendly Storage Operations

Walrus offers an intuitive command-line interface (CLI) for managing storage tasks, such as:

Uploading Data: Easily store blobs using a single command.

Querying Status: Check the availability and certification of stored blobs.

Deleting Blobs: Reclaim storage by removing unused or expired data.

For developers, Walrus provides APIs for seamless integration into decentralized applications (dApps), enabling use cases such as NFT marketplaces, AI data sharing platforms, and more.

The Future of Walrus

Walrus is set to revolutionize the decentralized storage ecosystem by bridging the gap between affordability, reliability, and usability. As the network evolves, upcoming features include:

Dynamic adjustments to storage nodes.

Expansion of supported use cases.

Improved tooling for developers and enterprises.

By enabling cost-effective and reliable data storage, Walrus positions itself as a cornerstone for the Web3 infrastructure, empowering users and developers to build a truly decentralized future.

Huddle01, the Challenger to the Giants Zoom and Google Meet

What is Huddle01, and why does it have 01 in its name?

Huddle01 is building a decentralized real-time communication (dRTC) platform as an innovative alternative to traditional video conferencing services such as Zoom and Google Meet. With a focus on empowering users, Vana allows them to collectively own, govern, and profit from AI models trained on their data. This creates an ecosystem where users are not only data providers but also the main beneficiaries of the value generated from that data.

At its core, Vana functions as a data liquidity network, making data "liquid" and usable as a financial asset. To ensure that data is used safely and transparently, Vana employs two key mechanisms:

Proof-of-contribution: This mechanism helps verify the value of private data without revealing sensitive details, ensuring that the contributed data is handled securely.

Non-custodial data: This ensures that data is only used for pre-approved purposes, allowing users to maintain complete control over their information.

Through these mechanisms, Vana creates a trustless environment where data can be tokenized, traded, and used for AI training without compromising user privacy or control. It also ensures the legitimacy of the data to maintain quality. Users store their data on personal servers, grant access to a trusted verifier, and then contribute their data to a collective server by encrypting it with a public key. The collective server operates based on rules established by the data contributors.

Platform Model: Vana provides a model owned and managed by data contributors, allowing users to earn money through the use and governance of the model. Users train parts of the model on their personal computers and grant access to a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) to merge all the individual parts. The DAO assesses the value of the data contributed by each user and rewards them with a specific token. The DLP creators deploy smart contracts specifying data contribution goals, including the purpose, validation methods, and data contribution parameters. Here, data contributors and supervisors send data to DLPs for validation, receive governance rights, and are rewarded based on the specified parameters of the DLP validation process. The purpose of the Data Liquidity Layer is to bring data on-chain and facilitate data transactions between contributors, supervisors, and validators. It manages the collection and organization of data so that it is accessible across the entire Vana ecosystem for users and developers.

Data Portability Layer, also known as the Application Layer: This layer functions as an open data marketplace for data contributors and developers. Once the Data Liquidity Layer verifies and brings the data on-chain, the Application Layer provides the infrastructure needed for training user-owned foundation models and developing new AI dApps. The Application Layer serves as an active data hub where online communities can collaborate with developers to create economic value from their data. This fosters an interactive data ecosystem where data contributors benefit from network effects and value generated by their contributions.

Connectome: Connectome is a decentralized ledger of real-time data transactions across the entire Vana ecosystem. It uses a proof-of-stake consensus mechanism, where Connectome propagators relay data transactions within the network. This ensures the valid transfer of DLP tokens and allows user-owned applications to access data across multiple DLPs.Connectome also allows third parties to view and track data transactions across the network. Additionally, it is compatible with EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine), ensuring interoperability with other blockchain systems.

These three components work together to create an integrated system that makes user data more liquid, transparent, and valuable, providing a foundation for the development of decentralized AI applications.

Vana recently drew attention after announcing it received $25 million in investment from three major venture capital firms: Coinbase Ventures, Paradigm, and Polychain.

Vana is presented as a user-owned AI project, with its model being "user-owned AI through user-owned data," setting itself apart by emphasizing the fight against data monopolization, especially in an era where AI is increasingly controlled by large corporations. Blockchain Dedicated to IP Products">
IP is gradually becoming the "new path" for development in many crypto projects. Therefore, Story Protocol has started to gain the attention of the community as it focuses on the IP sector. So, what is Story Protocol?

Intellectual Property (IP) products are creations of human intellect. These can include a wide range of creative forms and content, from art, literature, music, and films to artificial intelligence models, software, trademarks, and technical inventions.

More specifically, IP products can consist of:

Literary and artistic works: Books, stories, poems, music, films, games, artwork, etc.

Trademarks and brand identities: Logos, brand names, distinctive symbols, and other distinguishing marks.

Patents: Technical inventions, formulas, and exclusive technological solutions.

Designs: Product designs and industrial models.

Software and source code: Applications, software programs, and their source code.

AI models and data: Artificial intelligence models and the data used to train them, increasingly recognized as a unique form of IP in the digital era.

IP products are typically protected by intellectual property laws, which allow owners to control the use, distribution, and monetization of their creations.

Story Protocol is a layer 1 blockchain built on the Cosmos SDK and is compatible with EVM. With the growing trend of intellectual property (IP) prominence, Story Protocol aims to create a network that allows users to easily perform the following two tasks:

Apply for IP licenses for intellectual products.

Convert IP into assets on the blockchain while maintaining the legal aspects related to the IP.

Operating Model of Story Protocol

<img src="https://cms.relidator.com/content/images/2024/09/cau-truc-story-protocol.png" class="kg-image" alt="What is Story Protocol? However, its main difference lies in the second layer that supports IP-related applications in the crypto market, specifically the Proof of Creativity and Programmable IP License.

Proof of Creativity is a smart contract that allows users to bring their IP onto the Story Protocol network. These IPs can include real-world assets or NFTs that have been registered for copyright. Each IP uploaded to Story Protocol consists of two components:

On-chain NFT representing the IP brought onto the network.

A smart contract wallet linked to the IP, allowing users to interact with these IPs as NFT assets. This wallet mechanism is similar to Account Abstraction and ERC-6551.

After uploading to Story Protocol via Proof of Creativity, the IPs become on-chain assets on the network. Users can then utilize them for various DeFi activities, such as lending/borrowing or setting up royalties for others to use.

According to the project team, DeFi activities related to IP are executed through three main modules:

Licensing Modules: This component helps maintain the legality of IPs on Story Protocol and supports users in applying for IP licenses for assets that don't yet have IP rights.

Royalties Modules: This allows IP owners to apply "royalty fees" to their IPs, facilitating commercial and DeFi activities. Owners can freely set royalty fees, which are then stored on-chain and made transparent to all network users.

Dispute Modules: This module aims to prevent plagiarism of IPs on Story Protocol.

Programmable IP License

The Programmable IP License is an off-chain component in Story Protocol that provides legal documents for IPs on the network. Its purpose is to help users easily "onramp" (upload assets to the blockchain) and "offramp" (bring assets outside of the blockchain) their IPs on Story Protocol.

Overall, Story Protocol's structure is designed to ensure the legality of IP assets when brought onto the blockchain and helps turn IP into a new type of "asset" in the crypto market, featuring transparency and on-chain traceability.

The Team, Investors, and Partners of Story Protocol

Project Team

The team behind Story Protocol consists of experienced members in the crypto and financial markets.
